Who Let the Dogs Out?

This is now the eighteenth quilt that I have made since last October, and the amount of fabric I have doesn’t seem to be diminishing! I try not to buy fabric, but, I do make some exceptions. In this quilt, I had bought about a 1/2 yard of the dog fabric, because it was just too cute to resist, and I thought it would be a fun addition, especially since the quilts are for kids. Much of the blue fabric was from a big stack of fabric I acquired from Paul’s Mom. In fact, there is some fabric that is from a pair of shorts she made when she was a young girl, which was quite some time ago!

When I had given her Sassy Squares a few months ago, she told me that she had a pair of shorts she wanted me to use in a quilt. After she passed away, it took some looking, but I did finally find the shorts, and incorporated them into my Who Let the Dogs Out quilt. I’m sure she is out there somewhere smiling. I donated this quilt to the County of Ventura, Children & Family Services, in October 2013.
