Bumble Bee

I came across a few quilt blocks in some of my Mom’s stuff, and decided to copy the pattern for Bumble Bee. What I didn’t realize when looking at the single block, is that it was actually just an Irish Chain pattern.

The yellow fabric and the fleece backing is such a bright yellow that I also considered using the name “Burnt Retinas”, or “Won’t Get Much Sleep” for it, since it is very, very bright.

I donated this quilt to the County of Ventura, Children & Family Services, in December 2013.
