I made this quilt back in the Fall for my sister’s nephew and his wife’s baby daughter, Allie. Allie joined Mom, Dad and big brother Myles in late July.

I’ve had an elephant applique on my list of ‘things to do at some point’, and couldn’t resist taking advantage of the alliteration of new baby Allie’s name with Elephants, aka Ellies. The colorway was based on the colors Mom and Dad had at the baby shower. The fabrics were pulled from my stash, a bit from my scraps boxes, and I purchased a few new fabrics to get the colorway just right.
